Biological air washers
A biological (combi) air washer processes the exhaust stable air and works similar as a chemical (combi) air washer. The differences between these systems lies in the composition of the filter packages. The filter packages in a biological system contains a bacterial culture tot converts ammonia into nitrite and nitrate.
A suitable circulation pump, combined with a water purification system makes it possible to contribute to a sustainable bacterial culture. 
Additionally, it saves energy costs and reduces air washer maintenance.

Chemical air washers
The chemical (combi-) air washer treats the stable exhaust air. The filter package combined with wash water captures ammonia, particulates and unwanted odours. 
To perform this on a large scale the filter package in the chemical air washer system has a large inlet surface area. This surface size ensures a low air resistance, enabling large volumes of air to be processed at once.

How does it work? What are the results?
During the treatment of the exhaust stable air, a circulation pump continuously sprays the filter package with a mix of wash water and sulphuric acid.
The reaction between the ammonia, the wash water and the sulphuric acid reduces emissions, odours and particulates. In combination with a suitable circulation pump, energy consumption is minimalized as well.
